Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year!

I am both honored and excited to introduce myself as the new Principal of Sifton School. My name is Pam Depeel and I am thrilled to be joining this vibrant and dedicated school community. I want to welcome you if you are new to Sifton and express my gratitude to you for your support if you are a member of the current Sifton family. It will be a pleasure to get to know all of you.

At Sifton School, I am dedicated to continue the belief that education is a collaborative effort, shared among students, families, staff, and the broader community. I look forward to building strong relationships, connections and working together for your child’s education.

Our commitment to this shared responsibility is deeply rooted in the division's core values: equity, integrity, collaboration, and accountability. These values are the cornerstone of our educational service. We strive to provide an inclusive and supportive space where every student feels valued and empowered to succeed. We are excited to share the Division's strategic plan for 2022-2026, which encompasses our Vision, Mission, Values, Priorities, and Goals. This plan helps to guide our path and keeps us rooted in a common goal, with student success at the centre.

As a school, we use SchoolZone as our primary mode of communication and we encourage our parents to check SchoolZone daily to receive timely information.

I look forward to meeting each of you and learning more about the unique strengths and aspirations of our school community. Your insights and perspectives are invaluable as we work together to support student growth and achievement. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions, ideas or concerns - I am here to listen and to support you and your child in their educational journey.

Thank you for entrusting us with this important role in your child's development.

Yours in Partnership,

Pam Depeel

Principal
